Agfa HealthCare, a leading provider of IT-enabled clinical workflow and diagnostic imaging solutions, announces today the availability of workflow integration with peerVue’s qiVue® solution. The integration delivers features to IMPAX® PACS users that help them address regulatory, quality, and communications challenges and reporting functionality. The integrated solution is available in the U.S. only.
Integration with Agfa's IMPAX 6 platform enables the radiologist to be more efficient through simple point-and-click reporting of study discrepancies and other quality and communication related activities directly from the IMPAX desktop. These processes are now required for accreditation by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and in compliance with The Joint Commission's National Patient Safety Goals. Functionality includes peer review, technologist quality control, emergency department discrepancy management, and teaching files.
"This is another example of how Agfa HealthCare integrates specialty third-party applications with the IMPAX platform to meet radiologists' unique needs," said David Talton, Marketing Manager, Reporting Solutions, Agfa HealthCare. "By using qiVue with other IMPAX integrated desktop information, including 3D visualization, reporting, and critical test result management solutions, radiologists have the tools to provide confident diagnoses and timely results."
"With integration between IMPAX and peerVue, organizations can enjoy relief from increased regulatory and quality pressures, while improving communications, eliminating paper and other manual workarounds in favor of simple to use, PACS-centric workflows", said Kyle Lawton, President and CEO, peerVue, LLC.
